Great way to start off 2018, crocheting one of my most beloved designs, the Hippo Backpack. Some people, had already been asking how to make the animal backpacks bigger. So, I wanted to show exactly what it would look like if it’s made with worsted weight yarn and a 5 mm hook. The result is still very practical and fun to carry around, perfect for 5 year old kids and beyond.
I used 3 skeins (100 gr/153 yd/140 m) of each color, made my own crocheted cord and stopper, and crocheted the smaller size shoulder straps, which can fit from 5-6 year old kids to even adults, I tried it on myself and worked great!
