STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES
– Slip stitch
– Single crochet (UK double crochet)
– Split single crochet: Also known as crochet “knit” stitch, because of its resemblance to stockinette stitch in knitting. It’s worked as regular single crochet, but inserting the hook in a different part of the stitch. Instead of inserting under the two loops that form with every stitch of last round, go a little more below and insert the hook in the center of the vertical “V” that forms on the right side of the work. Insert the hook, yarn over and pull through the st, yarn over and draw through the two loops on the hook. Split single crochets are completely centered and above the stitch of last round, both stitches and rounds are tighter, with less space in between and this creates a sturdier weave.
FIRST HALF OF THE CUSHION
It’s crocheted in the round, in a spiral way and started from the center. With YELLOW make a magic ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc 6 inside the magic ring= 6 sts. Place the marker in the first st of the round.
Rnd 2: Relocate marker in the first st of every round. This will make it easier to count rounds and sts. 2 sc in each sc around= 12 sts
Rnd 3: Ssc 1, (2 ssc in next st) rep ( ) 6 times= 18 sts
Rnd 4: Ssc 2, (2 ssc in next st) rep ( ) 6 times= 24 sts
Rnd 5: Ssc 3, (2 ssc in next st) rep ( ) 6 times= 30 sts
Rnd 6: Ssc 4, (2 ssc in next st) rep ( ) 6 times= 36 sts
Rnd 7: Ssc 5, (2 ssc in next st) rep ( ) 6 times= 42 sts
Rnd 8: Ssc 6, (2 ssc in next st) rep ( ) 6 times= 48 sts
Rnd 9: Ssc 7, (2 ssc in next st) rep ( ) 6 times= 54 sts
Rnd 10: Ssc 8, (2 ssc in next st) rep ( ) 6 times= 60 sts
Rnd 11: Ssc 9, (2 ssc in next st) rep ( ) 6 times= 66 sts
Rnd 12-14: Ssc 66= 66 sts
Make a split sl st in next st. Fasten off.

Make a split sl st in next st.
Don’t fasten off.
