There’s no clearer sign that we’re in holiday season than poinsettia flowers all over the urban landscapes and home decoration. This is a very popular flower, with gorgeous intense red petals and green leaves although we can also see it in cream and even a mixture of both. So despite of the cold, color is still present in the atmosphere inspiring new creations.
La señal inequívoca de que nos encontramos cerca de las fiestas navideñas es que la flor de nochebuena inunda los paisajes urbanos y la decoración de las casas. Esta flor es muy popular, de bellos pétalos color rojo intenso y hojas verdes aunque también podemos encontrarla en color crema e incluso mezcla de ambos. Así que aunque es un tiempo de frío el color sigue estando presente en el ambiente inspirando nuevas creaciones.
And its just for these cold days that I designed two cowls, going on with my tapestry crochet technique obsession. They are two designs that are completely crocheted in the round with a repetitive pattern. They are formed in such a way that they have good drape and structure to keep us safe from frosts without losing style. The diamonds cowl is already available in my shop, the flower cowl is still in process but it will also be there within the next two days or so.
Y precisamente para estos tiempos de frío diseñé dos cuellos, siguiendo con mi obsesión por la técnica tapestry crochet. Son dos diseños tejidos totalmente en redondo con un patrón repetitivo de figuras. Están estructurados de tal manera que tengan buen peso y forma para protegernos de las heladas pero sin perder el estilo. El cuello de romboides ya está disponible en mi tienda y el de flores está en proceso, pero también estará disponible en unos dos días mas.
And of course I’m also working on new patterns, a wraphia bag, a new amigurumi and an infinity scarf are some of my following projects. These will be published within the next weeks…
