ANIMA CROCHET PUMKIN

FREE PATTERN WITH VIDEO TUTORIAL

Just in time to prepare for Halloween decoration and fill the home with that warm and sweet ambience. Because it is always motivating to give rooms a new look in every season, which can be done with simple elegant details.

The Anima Pumpkin is one of those designs that had to be part of my crochet pattern collection, because they decorate so beautifully and are made with such ease.

Constructed of two main pieces, to practice back and forth and in the round work. With additional notions to practice, such as back loop single crochets and short rounds, to achieve that lovely textured weave. But still easy skill level, for all to try.

In case you are all new to crochet, you may need to learn about the basics first and my Crocheting from scratch video can help you get a little experience beforehand. I suggest you give it a go with this tutorial with the firststeps and then you will feel super confident to try a more advanced project.

Worsted weight cotton yarn is used for the pumpkin but you can really adapt it to any yarn weight to make bigger or smaller versions. They will look so lovely around the living room, dining room and the kitchen too.

SPECIAL STITCHES
Back loop single crochet
Single crochet, made in back loop of stitches from last round. Insert the hook in bl of next st, yarn over, pull through the st, yarn over and pull through two loops on the hook.

Invisible decrease (single crochet)
Usually used for amigurumi, where stitches need to be tighter, before adding stuffing.
Insert the hook in the front loop of next stitch, immediately insert the hook in the front loop of next stitch, yarn over and draw through two loops on the hook, yarn over and draw through last two loops on the hook. One stitch has been decreased.
