COLORS C2C CROCHET BLANKET

FREE PATTERN WITH VIDEO TUTORIAL

There is always something new to learn and C2C (corner to corner) crochet was one of those techniques I had been wanting to try for a long time but I couldn’t find the chance, yarn or project to practice it with.

The Colors C2C Crochet Blanket was just the right choice for it, to display the full colors of your fiber and showcase the diagonal dynamic within this fun technique.

Though it may seem like a more complicated process, steps to make C2C are quite easy and this blanket is also simple. With a square structure which uses basic corner to corner principles and the ideal final size for a stroller or an adult small size cover.

A repetitive crochet pattern, to increase one block in each row to begin and then, once reaching the widest diagonal, going back by decreasing one block in each row.

A free pattern that is worked mainly with double crochets, chains and slip stitches, to create every little block that puts all the project together. But if you do not have many notions of these basic stitches, you can watch my Basic Stitches back and forth video below, which covers all the essentials for three different stitches, including double crochets, if you feel you need to practice first.

A larger size project, to showcase those colorful yarns at home, allowing the shades to display differently than the common horizontal stripes.

SPECIAL STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES
C2C Crochet (Corner to corner)

Crochet technique that is made from small blocks which are worked diagonally. The blocks are commonly made of 3 double crochets and 3 chains (they can also be made with half double crochets). It is worked back and forth, by increasing or decreasing one block in each row, depending on the final shape needed (square, rectangle, triangle).
