FREE PATTERN WITH VIDEO TUTORIAL
I have always loved little crochet appliqués because they are so cute and they can also be used for many different purposes, within other crochet pieces or other handmade projects.

The Crochet Mini Bear is so tiny that you will be able to apply for a hair pin, a paper clip, a bookmark and so many more day to day useful pieces.
And by being this small it is super fast to finish with only a few stitches and rounds, with minimal finishing steps too. Making it easier to replicate for a full collection.
Another option that can also be made for special occasions like Valentine’s Day, to give to family and friends as well. Such as the available options that you can already find as free video tutorials, like the Cupid Crochet Bookmark, that is also easy and fast to make. Make sure to check the full blog post and video tutorial for complete instructions.
SPECIAL STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES
Invisible join
It is used to get a cleaner end of round. Finish last st of the Rnd, cut the yarn leaving a 4”/10 cm tail and pull the yarn through the final loop. Thread tapestry needle and insert in the first st of the rnd. Then, insert the needle on top of the last st of the rnd, by going through the center and pulling through the WS. Pull to close and fasten off.
All essential steps are covered in the Crochet Mini Bear Video Tutorial. Video is in Spanish, but you have the option to see the Closed Caption in the language of your choice, by selecting the settings icon on the video then, select Closed Caption, Automatic Translation and select your language. And you also have the written directions (below this same post), to follow every detail step by step.
I only used a very small amount of thread weight cotton yarn, to get the cute reduced size and just easy embroidery stitches to shape the pretty face.
