Crochet four petal flower/ Flor de cuatro pétalos a ganchillo

This is another way of making flowers with crochet which I personally love. They are crocheted petal by petal, then each part is joined to form the flower. Every petal is crocheted in the round for a voluminous result.
Esta es otra manera de tejer flores a ganchillo, que a mi en lo personal me encanta. Se tejen pétalo por pétalo y después cada parte se une para formar la flor. Cada pétalo es tejido en redondo para crear un resultado voluminoso.

Petal (made with 100% cotton yarn and a 2.5 mm crochet hook): crocheted in the round in a spiral way. Ch 2.
R1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook= 6 sts
R2: 2 sc in each sc around= 12 sts
R3: (sc 1, 2 sc in next st) rep ( ) 6 times= 18 sts
R4-6: Sc 18. When making round rows with the same number of sts your work starts to entwine. If it’s more comfortable for you, turn your work inside out, it will be easier to continue crocheting.

Pétalo (tejido con hilaza 100% algodón y un gancho de 2.5 mm): Se teje en redondo en forma de espiral. Hacer 2 cad.
Vta. 1: 6 mp. en la 2ª cad. desde el gancho= 6 p.
Vta. 2: 2 mp. en cada mp. en redondo= 12 p.
Vta. 3: (1 mp, 2 mp. en sig. p) rep. ( ) 6 veces= 18 p.
Vta. 4-6: 18 mp. Cuando se trabajan vtas. en redondo con el mismo número de p. la labor empieza a enroscarse. Voltear la labor si resulta más cómodo para poder seguir tejiendo con facilidad.

R7: (sc 1, dec 1) rep ( ) 6 times= 12 sts
R8: Sc 12
R9: (Dec 1) rep ( ) 6 times= 6 sts. Ss in the first st of this row. Fasten off.
The result is a little ball which can be shaped as a petal. Each flower is made of 4 petals, leave a long strand for sewing in one of them. Weave in all ends in the rest.

Vta. 7: (1 mp, 1 dism) rep. ( ) 6 veces= 12 p.
Vta. 8: 12 mp.
Vta. 9: (1 dism) rep. ( ) 6 veces= 6 p. Hacer 1 pd. en el primer p. de esta vta. Rematar.
El resultado es una pequeña bolita que se puede moldear como pétalo. Cada flor está compuesta de 4 pétalos, dejar hebra larga en uno de ellos para poder coser. Esconder las hebras en los restantes.

Take the petal with the long strand and make a few sts right in the tip of last row. Then take another petal and sew it together with the last one. Repeat for the following two petals. Finally, join the 4th petal with the first to close in the round and shape the flower. Fasten off. If you plan joining to another work leave a long strand. You can use this kind of flower for a necklace, a bracelet or any kind of garment. I’m planning to make another necklace for my crochet jewelry collection. This I’ll show in my next week’s post.
Tomar el pétalo con la hebra larga y hacerle unas puntadas en la punta de la última vta. Después tomar otro pétalo y coserlo junto con el anterior. Repetir para los siguientes dos pétalos. Finalmente, unir el 4º pétalo con el 1º para cerrar en redondo y formar la flor. Rematar. Si el plan es unir después a otra labor dejar la hebra larga. Este tipo de flor puede usarse para un collar, una pulsera o cualquier tipo de prenda. Yo estoy planenado aplicarlas en un collar para mi colección de joyería tejida.
