Another tapestry variation you must try

I love making video tutorials for free patterns, to make one specific design, but I also enjoy sharing techniques I like to work with, for you to include in future projects of your choice. ‘Cause we’ve all seen something made with crochet and wondered, how it was made, what crochet stitch was used or how to get that interesting texture, and tutorials can be of great help to clear that up. My newest addition to the Crochet Techniques playlist is Tapestry Crochet with Split Single Crochets, which will let you add color work to your projects and create a stronger and resistant fabric.

It will also make crochet stitches look different, similar to knitting stitches with two needles (that’s why it’s also called crochet knit stitch). Definitely a perfect choice to try for home accessories, like my Ziggie Baskets Crochet Pattern design, available through AnniesSignatureDesigns.com. I should say though, it is a bit more complex than other tapestry crochet variants so, I suggest you practice with the video tutorial first, to feel more confident on how to manage the threads, tension, etc. But once you get the hang of it, I’m sure you will be adding it to your crochet skills catalogue.
