I had the cutest Elmo backpack when I was a young girl. It was my favorite companion for some time. It’s main purpose was not carrying much stuff, the thing I loved was that Elmo’s little arms and legs were part of the straps so it seemed like it was actually hugging my back. I lost that precious item through the years but I never forgot it. Proof of it is I kept thinking on creating a crochet design with that idea. A bear and a fox were next in my “to design a pattern” list so they are my first backpack duo with this style. Construction is the same for both, there are only changes in color to distinguish one from the other.
Yo tenía una mochila bellísima de Elmo cuando era niña. Fue mi acompañante favorito por algún tiempo. Su principal propósito no era cargar muchas cosas, lo que me encantaba era que los pequeños brazos y piernas de Elmo eran parte de las tiras de la mochila y así parecía que me estaba abrazando la espalda. Perdí ese precioso muñeco con los años pero nunca lo olvidé. Prueba de ello es que llevaba ya tiempo pensando en crear un diseño a ganchillo con esa idea. Un oso y un zorro seguían en mi lista para diseñarles un patrón así que ellos son mi primer dúo de mochilas con este estilo. La construcción es la misma para ambos, sólo hay pequeños cambios de color para distinguir uno del otro.
