The Basic Bag pattern was one of my first crochet designs so, I have a special love for it. It’s a combination of simple stitches and construction, for an easy skill level, to practice the essentials like single crochet stitch and working back and forth. An ideal fast-to-finish project. I’ve been happily collaborating with Katia Yarns lately, and though I already knew about their great fibers and quality, it’s been such a joy to actually crochet some of my designs with their amazing threads.
One of those, Katia Love Denim, made from up-cycled denim fabric, has been a wonderful surprise. With the perfect mix of softness and resistance you want for a bag that will go with you everywhere, with all you need. Initially, this pattern had instructions to make the bag with macrame cord, and don’t worry, those instructions are still available. But if you want another choice, to make this model in a thicker worsted weight yarn, this second set of instructions is now ready for you to try. Available in my pattern stores (Ravelry, Etsy, Bluprint and Lovecrochet).
