FREE PATTERN WITH VIDEO TUTORIAL
Today is a super special day, to share a beloved design that was made especially for Katia Yarns. Based on my Vista Sun Hat, originally posted back in 2020, Katia team had the great idea of making a new edition for 2023, the One Piece Crochet Hat. This time, by using a different yarn from their amazing catalogue and with some small changes in the making, to make it a bit different from the ones that were posted before.
To be made with two color choices, for the Luffy Look or Casual Look, including the use of Katia Alabama, which is one of the brand’s most popular yarns, with a beautiful mix of cotton and high quality acrylic, that gives this accessory a distinctive velvety feel. With a rounder shape at the top, just like the original One Piece hat, which resembles the classic straw hats that are super fashionable for every season. And including a thinner contrasting color band.
But the best of all new features, is that we prepared a video tutorial, with step by step instructions, which you can already find within Katia’s Youtube channel. So, you will be able to take a direct look at how it is made from beginning to end, by complementing with the complete written pattern on their blog.
Altogether with the previous variants of the Vista Sun Hat, you now have 3 different options, all with split single crochet, for that resemblance to stockinette stitch with two needles.
