FREE PATTERN WITH VIDEO TUTORIAL
I love to try different fibers and think of what can be created from them. And home items look so pretty when they are made out of crochet techniques, because they bring this relaxed, DIY feel atmosphere. Like this medium size basket that can be a great storage/decor solution.
Ice Yarns had the kindness of sending me this amazing hemp yarn, which is surprisingly soft to the hands. So easy to manipulate, that I even decided to hold two strands together for this project, to give it more structure and a chunkier look.
And I keep it simple, by using single crochet stitch only, basic increases and a nice touch all around the edge with slip stitches. All worked in the round, bottom up, in one seamless piece, for an agile make as well.
Video tutorial available, where I show you the process for this cute basket, to complement with written round by round directions below.
Only two skeins of light weight yarn are enough to complete the design. I suggest taking the yarn from every skein and holding them together, to crochet the project.
And you can also use cotton, t-shirt or ribbon yarns, even acrylic, just check your gauge before starting, if what you want is to get a result close in size to mine.
