As some of you may know, Hispanic Heritage Month takes place in the US, from mid September to mid October, to celebrate Hispanic and Latin American contributions. There are many events around it and of course, crochet couldn’t be left out. Marie Segares (born in the US, with Cuban-Italian roots) from Underground Crafter blog, has invited me to participate in her beautiful celebration #LatinxMakerMonth by @ucrafter, which puts together crochet and knitting designers, indie yarn dyers, and more!
This year, she gave it a super fun twist, by hosting Instagram takeovers on her own profile, one day for each designer/creator. With the idea of sharing images and thoughts about what we do and who we are. Crafters from all over, like Spain, Germany, Argentina, Chile, Canada, the US and more, everyone somehow related to Hispanic Heritage. And today, is my turn! I’ll be talking a little about my work (image above included in my takeover) and what it has meant to me to be Latin and work as a crocheter. What a great idea right? Makes you want to go ahead and take a look at what other Hispanics are up to. Vamos!
