LUNA BABY BLANKET

FREE PATTERN WITH VIDEO TUTORIAL

I am starting to widen the kind of patterns you will be able to find within my catalogue. Bags and accessories have been my main inspiration since I started designing, and there will still be many of those projects coming, but there are so many other things to create and share.

One of those new options is the Luna Baby Blanket, perfect for that special baby that brings so much light and joy. With finished stroller size, that includes easy crochet stitches in a color block sequence, which makes it fun and easy to follow. With a cute edging as the final embellishment.

One project to use colorful 50 gr skeins with open stitch work, that brings nice texture and contrast. Made in one piece, a feature that is also practical when you are not looking for any complicated extra finishing details.

Main stitches included are basic level, such as single crochets, double crochets and slip stitches. But in case you want to have a little practice beforehand there is always something available for you. My Basic Stitches, Back and Forth video is the option for you to learn all the essential notions you need before making an actual project.

Stitch work within every block is repetitive so, easy to follow overall, and with charts included as well in case you are more of the visual kind of crocheter.

SPECIAL STITCHES

Treble crochet
Double crochet, with an extra yarn over at the beginning, to create a taller stitch. Yarn over twice, insert hook in next st, yarn over and draw through the st, (yarn over and draw through two loops on the hook) twice, yarn over and draw through last two loops on the hook.

This video tutorial for the Luna Baby Blanket covers all steps of the making. Video is in Spanish, but you have the option to see the Closed Caption in the language of your choice, by selecting the settings icon on the video then, select Closed Caption, Automatic Translation and select your language. And you also have all written directions and chart (below this same post), to follow every detail step by step.

If you want the formatted, ad free, 11 page PDF document (with written instructions and charts, also including more than 40 images in photo tutorials) of the Luna Baby Blanket, this is available in my pattern stores, this is available in my pattern stores (RavelryEtsyLovecrochet) for USD $4.70.
