A pair of fingerless gloves are so useful in Winter season, especially on those cold mornings where you need to keep hands warm but want to continue with your routine.

MAIN PIECE (Make 2)
Crocheted back and forth, starting from the bottom. Ch 28, leaving a long tail for sewing afterwards.
R1: Starting in 2nd ch from the hook, sc 27, turn= 27 sts
R2: Ch 1, (sc 1, ch 1, sk next st) rep ( ) 13 times, sc 1, turn= 14 sc and 13 ch-1 spaces
R3: Ch 1, sc 1, (sc 1 in next ch 1 space, ch 1, sk next st) rep ( ) 12 times, sc 1 in next ch 1 space, sc 1, turn= 15 sc and 12 ch-1 spaces
R4-37: Rep R2-3, 17 more times
R38: Ch 1, sc 27= 27 sts
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.

With the beginning tail, sew first 24 rows, from bottom to top. With the tail from the top, sew last 6 rows, from top to bottom.

THUMB

Rejoin yarn in last row joined from the top of unsewed space. Continue crocheting in the round, in a spiral, inserting the hook through unsewed rows, all around, to shape the thumb.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc 7, dec 1, sc 1 (right through the bottom seam), dec 1, sc 7, sc 1 (right through the top seam)= 18 sts
Rnd 2: Sc 6, dec 1, sc 1, dec 1, sc 7= 16 sts
Rnd 3: Sc 5, dec 1, sc 1, dec 1, sc 6= 14 sts

FINISHING

Fasten off and weave in all ends.

Rejoin yarn in first foundation ch of first row of the glove. Continue crocheting in the round, in a spiral, to make the bottom edging of the glove.

Fasten off and weave in all ends.
