STAR
Crocheted in the round, in closed rounds, with yarn and metallic thread held together throughout. Make a slip ring (magic circle).
Rnd 1: Ch 3, dc 14 inside the ring, sl st in 3rd beg ch= 15 sts
Rnd 2: (Ch 5, starting in 2nd ch from the hook, sc 1, hdc 1, dc 2, sk 2 sts, sl st 1) rep ( ) 5 times= 5 points
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
And if you want to make an amazing garland to decorate your room or your fabulous Christmas tree, make more stars of each color and join with a crochet chain. I made a garland myself, with 30 stars (10 in red, 10 in white and 10 in gold).
All you need is the same crochet hook and additional sport weight cotton yarn. To start, ch 40.
Then, take one star and inserting the hook on the right side, in the slip stitch before one point
R1: Sc 1, ch 4, sc 1 in next sl st, ch 30
Continue repeating R1 by taking one star of each color, taking care not to twist the chains in between each star.
To finish the garland, ch 40, fasten off and weave in all ends.
