When I try a stitch and decide to use it for a project, it’s very likely I’ll repeat in the future. It’s like having more chances to experiment with it, perfect it, and to find interesting variants. Split Single Crochet (Crocket Knit Stitch) is one of those techniques, which can become essential, due to its versatility and the quality it gives to crochet fabric.
You know bags and home accessories are a big thing for me so, features like resistance and thickness are super important. And when I find stitch work that gives that result, it’s hard to let go. Had already used the technique in the round and with tapestry crochet, but for a new project (still in the making), flat construction was the way to go. So, I made the Split Single Crochet, back and forth video tutorial, to cover all small details that change from the round version. The new clip is already uploaded to my Youtube channel, for you to see and try. Hope you find it useful and that it gives you lovely new ideas!
