Striped bag with two handles, redesign/ Rediseño del bolso rayado con dos asas

Pattern updates keep on going, design is always an ongoing process, even when an item has been finished. The first renovation was the basic bag and now it’s turn for the striped bag with two handles. The foundation of the original design was to have a versatile bag, a feature that I like to include in many of my patterns. It had two pairs of different length handles that could be removed and interchanged depending on the needs of the day.

These redesigns incorporate the remaking of the whole bag. That gives me the chance to evaluate if there is something that can be improved or modernized. I concluded it would be easier having the two possibilities already in the bag without having to carry an additional pair of handles separately. So, if you need you can immediately change from a tote to a cross body bag. And with the plus of turning it into a fold over. I also used a branded macrame cord so the material is easier to find or replace in case you decide to make it with other fibers like cotton, wool, etc.

Las actualizaciones y renovaciones de patrones siguen, el diseño es un proceso continuo, aún cuando un producto haya sido terminado. La primera renovacion fue el bolso básico y ahora fue el turno del bolso a rayas con dos pares de asas. La base del diseño original era tener un bolso versátil, una característica que me gusta tener en varios de mis patrones. Tenía dos pares de asas de distinto largo que podían removerse e intercambiarse dependiendo de las necesidades del día.

Estos rediseños comprenden la realización del bolso entero. Me dan la oportunidad para evaluar si hay algo que puede ser mejorado o modernizado. Concluí que sería más sencillo tener las dos posibilidades ya contenidas en el bolso sin tener que cargar con el par adicional de asas. Así puedes cambiar de manera inmediata de cargar en el hombro o el brazo a un bolso cruzado. Y con el plus de poder doblarlo. También utilicé un cordón de macramé con marca para que sea más fácil de encontrar o de reemplazar en caso de querer hacerlo con otro tipo de fibra como algodón, lana, etc.
