Last week was quite surprising and nice. First, the team of Ice Yarns got in touch with me to send some of their yarns and I feel so happy to work with them. It was quite hard to decide which one to start with as they have a great variety. For some time I had been wanting to make patterns with up cycled fabric yarn (that was my choice), I think it looks great in fashion and home accessories. I just fell in love with the colors and the texture. They will be turned into free patterns with video tutorials. The first one is almost done, I still have some editing to do but I will definitely release it by next week. And I am pretty excited because I loved the outcome: simple, fast and beautiful.
La semana pasada fue sorprendente y buena. Primero, el equipo de Ice Yarns me contactó para enviarme algunos de sus estambres y me siento tan feliz de trabajar con ellos. Fue un poco difícil decidir con cuál empezar ya que tienen una gran variedad. Desde hace algún tiempo había querido hacer patrones con estambre de tela reciclada (esa fue mi elección) que se ve tan bien para accesorios de moda y del hogar. Me enamoré de los colores y la textura. Se convertirán en patrones gratuitos con video tutoriales. El primero está casi por terminar, todavía queda algo de edición que hacer pero seguro lo publicaré la semana próxima. Y estoy bastante emocionada porque me encantó el resultado: simple, rápido y hermoso.
And I finished one more pattern this week, the 3D Roses Bag which is available in the different crochet pattern stores you can find my paid for patterns. I had the idea of integrating a tapestry crochet design with other crocheted elements, not as separate objects but as a composition. I decided to start with a roses and leaves pattern, made with shaded yarn to give it a more natural look. The flowers bring so much life into the design, hope you like it as much as I do. After making several crochet patterns for kids I think this was a nice way (together with the hearts’ clutch) to come back to the women’s accessories department. Y terminé un patrón mas esta semana, el Bolso de Rosas 3D que está disponible en las diferentes tiendas donde pueden encontrar mis patrones que están a la venta. Tuve la idea de intergrar un diseño en tapestry crochet con otros elementos tejidos, no como objetos separados sino como una composición. Decidí empezar con un patrón de hojas y rosas, hecho con estambre matizado para darle un sentido aún más natural. Las flores le dan tanta vida al diseño, espero te guste tanto como a mi. Después de hacer varios patrones para niños creo que es una buena forma de regresar (junto con la cartera de corazones) al departamento de accesorios femeninos.
