There can be very calm weeks regarding my social media presence, when it may seem my work is paused. But reality is I’m working backstage, planning or recording a tutorial, taking photos or writing a pattern. This was one of those release weeks instead, with a new video tutorial and a collaboration with one of my fellow crochet and knitting designers.
Puede haber semanas muy calmadas respecto a mi presencia en redes sociales, cuando puede parecer que mi trabajo está en pausa. Pero la realidad es que estoy tras bambalinas, planeando o grabando un tutorial, tomando fotos o escribiendo un patrón. Ésta en cambio fue una de esas semanas de lanzamientos con un nuevo video tutorial y una colaboración con una de mis compañeras diseñadoras a crochet y dos agujas.

The video tutorial is for my Clover cowl which was released some time ago. Cold weather always calls for garments like this, a simple 1 skein project. And although it already had a quite complete photo tutorial with written instructions and a chart, the video tutorial seemed like a nice extra to show with much more clarity the process for the clover border. It involves a mix of simple stitches but it might lead to different interpretations and video is the most accurate solution for everyone to get it right. Hope it makes the pattern easier and faster to follow.
El video tutorial es para mi Cuello de tréboles que ya había sido publicado hace algún tiempo. El clima frío siempre pide proyectos como éste, sencillos y de una sola madeja. Y aunque ya contaba con un foto tutorial bastante completo con instrucciones escritas y esquema, el video tutorial parecía un buen extra para mostrar con mayor claridad el proceso para la orilla de tréboles. Comprende una mezcla de puntos simples pero podría llevar a interpretaciones distintas y el video es la solución más precisa para que tod@s lo puedan entender. Espero haga el patrón más fácil y ágil para seguir.

And I also participated with Susana Lobos in the translation and chart making for her Serenity Mandala design. Susi is a Chilean Knitting and Crochet designer, I had the opportunity of meeting her through social media and we have been building a very nice colleague relationship. This finally led to this collaboration and I must say it was a very gratifying experience. Not only because we are both Latin American and we are able to help each other but because we are both working to spread the word about how beautiful crochet is. And I hope this won’t be the last time we work together. Now you can enjoy this free pattern, my suggestion is mix as many colors you want, the result will be amazing! Y también participé con Susana Lobos en la traducción y elaboración de esquema para su diseño de mandala Serenity. Susi es una diseñadora de Crochet y Dos Agujas chilena, tuve la oportunidad de conocerla a través de las redes y hemos construido una linda relación de colegas. Ésta finalmente nos llevó a esta colaboración y debo decir que fue una experiencia gratificante. No sólo porque somos Latinoamericanas y podemos ayudarnos sino también porque estamos trabajando para difundir lo bello que son las labores a ganchillo.
