My mom’s working on a project I felt like sharing. She has a lot of dear friends and family that have been so nice to her and she’s always thinking on giving something back. Lately, she hasn’t had much time to knit or crochet but mother’s day, birthdays and other important dates are coming.
She wanted to make something to give as a gift. Something nice yet quick to crochet and to finish. Turns out she had nylon thread in several nice colors in storage that could work for this. This string, Omega metallic nylon thread #3 is quite thin so she took three strands and a 5.5 mm crochet hook. She made a 49 chain base and simply crocheted in the round for 19 rows (12 cm) with single crochet (UK double crochet). The finished bags are 17.5 x 12 cm.
This thread comes wrapped around a plastic cylinder so she used three skeins at once. From these three skeins using the three strands she gets three bags. She is now in the process of finishing some other bags and sewing zippers to the opening. To finish, she will pull some beads through the remaining strands.
It’s a very beautiful colored and easy to make crochet task. I’m sure people who receive one of these will immediately use it for their smartphones, make up, etc. Once they are finished I’ll post another picture.
Mi mamá está trabajando es un nuevo proyecto que quise compartir. Tiene familiares y amigas muy queridas que han sido muy lindos con ella y siempre está pensando en obsequiarles algo. Últimamente no ha tenido mucho tiempo de tejer pero el día de las madres, cumpleaños y otras fechas importantes se acercan.
Ella quería hacer algo para poder dar como regalo. Algo que fuera bonito pero rápido de tejer y terminar. Resulta que tenía guardado hilo nylon en distintos colores que podría servir para esto. Este cordón, hilo nylon metálico Omega no. 3, es bastante delgado así que tomó tres hebras y usó un gancho de 5.5 mm. Hizo 49 cadenas de base y simplemente tejió en redondo por 19 vtas. (12 cm) con medio punto (punto bajo). Las bolsitas terminadas miden 17.5 x 12 cm.
Como este hilo está envuelto sobre un cilindro plástico usó tres madejas a la vez. De estas tres madejas, usando las tres hebras le salen tres bolsas. Ahora está en el proceso de terminar unas piezas más y de coser los cierres a la abertura. Para terminarlas, pondrá cuentas en las hebras del final.
Es una labor de gancho con mucho colorido y facilidad. Estoy segura que las personas que reciban una, la usarán inmediatamente para guardar sus teléfonos móviles, maquillaje, cremas, etc. Cuando estén terminadas, publicaré otra imagen para que puedan ver el resultado.
