Last 2 weeks have been very busy and full of work. Luckily, I enjoy my job so much I don’t feel it as heavy or hard, just a few more hours of dedication so everything has a good result. Final details of my upcoming book “Crochet Kids Bags” by www.allcrochetpaterns.net are being made and at the same time I also managed to update one of my patterns, make a new video tutorial for a free pattern and collaborate with a yarn company to offer a discount to my followers.
So first, about the video video tutorial. I had made a tapestry crochet basket some time ago, it included a photo tutorial and written instructions. But as it involved tapestry crochet by wrapping a thick cord I thought it would be nice to update it with a video tutorial and make it easier to follow. I also changed the materials a bit, by crocheting it with worsted weight acrylic yarn (which is more common) and made it with a new color scheme. I also gave it a new name that would represent the renewed look of it, the Bicolor basket. The instructions were also modified, adapting to the new material used, but size and design is very similar to the previous one. Hope you can give it a look and make one for your home.
Las últimas 2 semanas han sido muy ocupadas y llenas de trabajo. Afortunadamente, lo disfruto tanto que no lo siento pesado o difícil, sólo unas horas mas de dedicación para que todo tenga un buen resultado. Así que primero, sobre el video tutorial. Había hecho una canasta en tapestry crochet hace algún tiempo, incluía un foto tutorial e instrucciones escritas. Pero ya que estaba hecho con tapestry crochet envolviendo un cordón grueso pensé que sería bueno actualizarlo con un video tutorial para hacerlo más fácil de seguir. También cambié un poco los materiales al tejerla con estambre medio de acrílico (que es más común) y la hice con un nuevo esquema de color. También le di un nombre nuevo que representara su diseño actual, la Canasta bicolor. Las instrucciones también fueron modificadas, adaptando al nuevo material usado, pero el tamaño y diseño son bastante similares al previo. Espero puedas darle un vistazo y hacer una para tu casa.
I decided to make a renovated version of the clutch with cotton yarn by wrapping t-shirt yarn instead. I loved the outcome, it is a bit more flexible than when made with cotton rope and it will be easier to get both threads in a yarn store. Y continuando con el rediseño de algunos de mis patrones era turno de la Cartera Tapestry. Ésta fue hecha originalmente con cordón de nylon envolviendo un cordón de algodón grueso. Algun@s tejedor@s tuvieron complicado encontrar el material. Decidí hacer una versión renovada con hilaza de algodón envolviendo trapillo esta vez. Me encantó el resultado, es un poco más flexible que cuando se hace con cuerda de algodón y será más sencillo encontrar ambos hilos en una tienda de lanas. Se hicieron cambios en el diseño del documento y pequeñas modificaciones en las instrucciones para mejorar el patrón.
