ORIENS MUG COZY

FREE PATTERN WITH VIDEO TUTORIAL

The perfect start for a nice day, always includes a good cup of coffee. That warm feeling and taste, while looking at the sunrise, that has no equal. Our own special everyday ritual.

The Oriens Mug Cozy is one of those simple projects that you did not know you needed, until you make one. Useful and cute, to dress up your beloved coffee cups, to make with simple stitches and in only one piece.

Easy skill level, that will allow you to practice back and forth, in the round and basic increasing techniques.

A suitable project for beginners as well, if you have little experience with the crochet hook. But in case you think you need a little practice beforehand, I suggest you watch the video below first. Crochet from scratch is almost a beginners crochet course, where I show you the basics.

All essential steps are covered in the Oriens Mug Cozy Video Tutorial. Video is in Spanish, but you have the option to see the Closed Caption in the language of your choice, by selecting the settings icon on the video then, select Closed Caption, Automatic Translation and select your language. And you also have the round by round directions (below this same post), to follow every detail step by step.

I used cotton sport weight yarn for the project, because I always have lots of left overs from other pieces. And this is the kind of design in which we can take advantage of those beautiful remains we do not want to throw away. But you could really use any kind of yarn you have.

Including the eyelet and a nice big button, to give a modern touch and also the practicality to easily remove. Suitable for the medium size mugs that almost all of us have at home.
