There’s a new free pattern for this week, a basic crochet cowl. Cowls have become an essential for winter and together with scarves they are the basic garments for cold weather. They are comfortable, practical, fashionable and faster to crochet because they are smaller in many cases. I had some trouble with my camera so I wasn’t able to take pictures of the whole process as I usually do. But there’s a chart with symbols and images of the final result that illustrate the written instructions. And it’s not a difficult stitch pattern, just a simple combination of chains, single crochet (UK double crochet) and double crochet (UK triple crochet) to give some texture. I also show two possibilities of wearing it for two different looks.
Tengo un nuevo patrón a ganchillo gratuito para esta semana, un cuello básico. Esta prenda se ha convertido en un esencial para el invierno y junto con las bufandas son los básicos para el tiempo de frío. Son cómodos, modernos, prácticos y más rápidos de tejer porque en muchos casos son más pequeños. Tuve algunos problemas con mi cámara y no pude tomar imágenes del proceso completo como normalmente hago. Pero incluyo un esquema con símbolos e imágenes del resultado final que ilustran las instrucciones escritas. Y no es una puntada difícil, sólo una combinación sencilla de cadenas, medios puntos (puntos bajo) y macizos (punto alto) para dar algo de textura. También muestro dos posibilidades para usarlo para dar dos looks distintos.
